I hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend!

After most of us missed the opportunity to be with family last year, we all have so much to be thankful for even more this year!

Being thankful and showing gratitude is something that we can do every day. Many of us express gratitude without thinking. It comes naturally; whereas, many of us need to make it a mindful or conscious effort to express gratitude.

Practicing gratitude has incredible effects, from improving our mental health to boosting our relationships with others. Explore ways you can be more appreciative!

Expressing gratitude can start with a simple journal. Reflecting on your day, reliving that moment and writing down 3 things that you are grateful for that happened that day. It could be as simple as your spouse bringing you a cup of coffee or the sound of the birds on your walk or a colleague helping you out at the office.

Did you know that employers or managers who express their appreciation for their team have a more engaged team?

If your manager isn’t big on compliments or positive support, develop your own ways of showing gratitude. Allow yourself to feel good about something you accomplished that day, even if it was only your ability to stay cool during a stressful situation.

Show appreciation for your team and other colleagues. Giving compliments feels almost as good, and sometimes more so, then getting them.

Thank you for reading and have a great week ahead. Please take a look below for what is coming up!

Kindest regards,

Kathleen
