A FREE opportunity to discover how you can save a life.
Are you uncomfortable in engaging in a conversation surrounding the human papillomavirus (HPV) and its role in head and neck cancer with your dental hygiene client? You’re not alone!
Research shows that a very small percentage of dental providers discuss the role of HPV and its link to a staggering number of head and neck malignancies, mainly oropharyngeal. cancer.
Unfortunately, the public still believes that HPV is predominantly associated with cervical cancer when the highest burden of HPV-related cancer is attacking the oropharynx. This is placing a large percentage of our client base unknowingly at risk.
It is imperative that we break down the barriers to engaging in comfortable conversation about the HPV topic.
Dental hygienists play a crucial role in raising awareness about the inherent risks of HPV and emphasizing evidence-based prevention strategies. We are frontline healthcare professionals with a mandate to ensure our clients are well informed and equipped to take proactive steps to maintaining their oral and overall health. Together, we can make a significant impact on a critical public health issue.

Imagine a test that could determine for every patient in your office if they are high risk for caries and periodontal disease. With 2 of the most omnipresent diseases in our offices, imagine how such a test could guide your decision making in both prevention and treatment.
Welcome to this webinar, a one-time only genetic test, that with a swipe of saliva can give you the risk factors for every patient in your practice. We will explore the science behind the test and learn how advances in genetics have made it possible to assess such risks in patients.
With this understanding, we will then take a look at how this type of assessment tool can effectively help to guide both treatment planning and treatment outcomes.
